{"id":337,"date":"2009-04-01T15:37:24","date_gmt":"2009-04-01T15:37:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/michaelkrolczyk.com\/?p=337"},"modified":"2024-12-24T16:12:12","modified_gmt":"2024-12-24T16:12:12","slug":"four-years-ago-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/michaelkrolczyk.com\/?p=337","title":{"rendered":"Four Years Ago Today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Four years ago today I was diagnosed with <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Acute_promyelocytic_leukemia\">APL<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Four month months later I was in remission.<\/p>\n<p>28 months later I was done with chemotherapy and medication.<\/p>\n<p>In 16 months the medical community and insurance companies will consider me &#8220;cured&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The whole thing was an interesting experience.  I know I changed significantly from the experience.  Today I am relaxed and in the moment.  I get more enjoyment out of the day to day than I can ever remember.
